Christmas Sponsor Certificates
Lu has kindly created some Christmassy Sponsorship certificates for some of our long termer dogs . We've chosen Hallie, Aurora and Bruno as they've all been here for years. If you'd like to send one as a "gift" to a friend /family member, just let me know which of the dogs you've chosen and I'll let you know the Bank details to BACS some money to (or you can use PayPal if you'd rather). Message me or email : kaye@lurcherlink.org and please mark the subject as " Christmas Sponsor Dog" so I can keep an eye out for them.
There's a space on the certificate for you to write the name of the person it's intended for and you can either send it as a png file to save postage (and time) or you can print it off and send it through the post / give it by hand.
I know times are hard for everyone at the mo, so I'm going to say just donate what you can afford to spare.
If you'd like a "special" certificate, I can print one off and send it by post with a LL Christmas card and a LL Christmas pen (see pic) but I'll have to ask for a minimum donation of £10 to cover the cost of postage and the pen & card
This is a (rough) sample to show you what they're like - but obviously they won't have the LL watermark all over them - this is just to prevent spam copies

Thank you to Chris Trickey
Thank You to Chris Trickey for donating £440 to LL which was raised by running the Glasgow Half Marathon . It’s very much appreciated and will go towards the food bills for the kennel dogs.
Hallie says she can’t wait for some turkey flavoured dog food!
Autumn Newsletter
Tammy has kindly created an Autumn Newsletter for us, so you are up to date with what’s going on at LL
We’re hoping to do a regular online newsletter in the future, so if you have anything you’d like us to add which is Lurcher related, or to do with your LL hounds, please get in touch : rehoming@lurcherlink.org and mark it NEWSLETTER in the subject line,
You can print this off for other folk to read if you want (I’m going to leave a couple at our vets) or just read it online: Autumn Newsletter
“Jamie’s Trust”
Jamie’s owners have asked if they can set up a “trust” in his memory to enable a person that might not be able to financially afford the rehoming donation for a dog but in every other way they would be ideal to take one on.
They have set up an annual fund for the cost of our adoption donation for a male hound which ideally, would go towards helping someone who is struggling to afford the financial cost of rehoming a hound, or perhaps as an incentive to adopt an overlooked dog. We are calling it ‘Jamie’s Trust’! If you’d like to apply, please email “rehoming@lurcherlink.org” and quote “Jamie’s Trust” in the subject line and we will discuss it further.
I would like to thank them very much for this kind and generous offer and for giving Jamie such a wonderful life.
They say :
This time last year we said goodbye to our lovely Lurcher Link Saluki Cross, Jamie. He was the best friend and companion, and we’d like to honour him by offering a donation to go towards helping a family adopt a hound in need. Jamie lived a long and very happy life, full of walkies, treats and cuddles on the sofa.
The first 2 photos show Jamie when he was in his Lurcher Link foster home, and the rest show his happy life and various adventures. We hope that another dog can have the chance to have the same.
Donate a coffee to Lurcher Link

LL's 2025 Calendar
The Lurcher Link Calendar Competition is BACK!!
We are asking for YOUR photographs to be included in our 2025 Lurcher Link Calendar.
You don't have to be a member of the Lurcher Link forum, or have a Lurcher Link dog. You just have to have a keen photographic eye and fantastic photos you think suit the different seasons.
We need your HIGH RESOLUTION photographs to show how amazing our community, and the dogs we all love, are!
If you are interesting in joining in, we have a Google forms document where you can upload your photos. We are putting a limit on 1 entry per person this year, but you can enter all 4 seasons and the front cover!
We need PORTRAIT (long and thin) photographs for our FRONT COVER.
We need LANDSCAPE (wide) photographs for WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER and AUTUMN.
You can upload your photos on the following link: https://forms.gle/ba8fLY58BjrFE5ZJ9
We will be creating photo albums where we will be uploading the entries so you can see what photos we have
The competition will run until Sunday 16 June
Get snapping!
(If you have any difficulties with uploading photos, please contact kaye@lurcherlink.org- these are the types of photos we need, from 2024's calendar)

Lennox is a celeb!
Our lovely Lennox - or “Lenny” as he is affectionately known, has recently found fame by being featured in a new book!
The book is “Living with Dogs” by Dylan Collard. As part of his book, Dylan wanted to depict dogs in rescue, so he came and photographed some of our Lurcher Link dogs and Lenny’s picture (see below) made it into the final copy. He is very kindly donating a proportion from the sale of each book to Lurcher Link Rescue - and so far we have received a very welcome £250.
Lenny is still looking for his forever home. He is about 2 years-old and 25-26” inches to the shoulder. More details about Lennox can be found on the Lurcher Link Rescue forum : https://www.lurcherlink.org/llink/forum/viewtopic.php?t=112273
Lennox is with us at LURCHER LINK RESCUE, near Halifax, West Yorkshire.
For more information please email kaye@lurcherlink.org or if you'd like to apply to adopt him, complete our online form : https://www.lurcher-link.org/preadoption-questionnaire.
Scooby
We had to say goodbye to Scooby yesterday as he had been in kidney failure for some months and had stopped eating over the last couple of days.
He was with us for 14 years, so he was part of the LL family and we'll miss him a lot, especially himself.com who shared an office with him. He was one of our LL “sponsor dogs” and has mellowed in character over the years, from the stroppy youngster he was when he first came to LL.
Run free Scooby - pain free and young in spirit again
2023 Christmas Newsletter
We’ve done a little newsletter to keep you all up to date with what’s going on at LL - HUGE thanks to Dianne W for this.
You can print this off for other folk to read if you want and we are also trying to sort out some online Christmas sponsor certificates which can also be downloaded and printed off too (watch this space!)
I'm hoping to do a regular online newsletter in the future, but we need to have a chin wag about it, for the mo, have a read : Christmas Newsletter 2023
